    2. Epic Games Store - Mega Sale - Up to 75% off and $10 off every game $14.99+

Making this as a text post because the Epic Store interface isn't very good, and I want to be able to highlight particular sales.

Here's a better interface for browsing on gg.deals

First: this is a bizarre sale and clearly another case of Epic effectively subsidizing something that wouldn't be possible normally. As a really blatant example of what's crazy about it, I posted the announcement trailer for John Wick Hex last week. It got announced 8 days ago, there isn't even a vague release date, and they don't even know which consoles it's coming to yet. Even with that, it's on sale here now for $8 instead of $20 - 60% off, a week after announcement!

So because of that, here's some of the sales that seem most ridiculous due to being unusually large discounts, especially on games that aren't even out yet or just came out. Let me know if you spot more, all prices USD:

Game Sale Price Normal Price Discount
      John Wick Hex $7.99 $19.99 60%
      Satisfactory $19.95 $29.95 33%
      Shakedown Hawaii $9.99 $19.99 50%
      Slime Rancher $4.99 $19.99 75%
      Subnautica Below Zero $9.99 $19.99 50%

I just watched both back to back, and I'm blown away. This is some very well made television, and somehow manages to be simultaneously nightmarish, and fully gripping. That this is based on real events is all the more amazing to me, and after watching the revelation about the exploding water tanks in the second episode I'm astonished that the world is as unscathed by this disaster as it is.

I've just deployed a small change that can show some additional info for some link topics, depending on which domain they link to. So far, it's only enabled for YouTube and Twitter links, where it will show the channel name and tweet author respectively. A good place to see this in action is on a search for "trailers".

Currently, this info is only displayed in the topic listings, but we should be able to extend it elsewhere, as well as utilize it for searching/filtering (like "show me all topics that link to this YouTube channel").

What other sites/domains would be good to apply this to? Links to reddit aren't particularly common, but it could probably work well there by showing the source subreddit, something like "reddit: /r/blog". What other sites are "platform-like" where additional info about the source/author is important instead of just the domain?

War of the Spark is the next MtG set, coming out on May 3.

They released an official trailer today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5W9t62t10I

As of the time of posting, there are 32 cards revealed so far, available here: https://scryfall.com/sets/war?order=spoiled&as=grid

They previously revealed that every booster pack will have a Planeswalker in it, so the set looks like it will have quite a few of these unusual Planeswalkers with no way to add loyalty counters to themselves.

Up until the announcement an hour ago, Paradox Interactive were doing a fake "Tender" app teaser/promo thing. There was some kind of countdown involved which ended with this announcement, entertaining to watch: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/399100804?t=03h52m54s
