If I repeatedly failed to perform my multiple-per-shift temperature checks when I worked fast food, I would be fired.
If people refuse to wear PPE or use dust reducing wet saws, they should be reprimanded until they do, or fired.
Businesses should be forced to have the highest possible protection for their employees, and be forced to require them to use it.
We already have controls in place for this. They just aren't being utilized how they should be

If they even do things like joint replacements on dogs it's going to be prohibitively expensive and I would say (calculating dollars per year) I doubt you'd get the amount of joy in return for such a cost. It's rather morbid to think about it this way, but personally my advice is to maximize comfort while minimizing excess expenditure. The money spent on those sorts of expensive medical procedures would probably be better spent on increasing doggos quality of life in other ways. High quality food, like farmers dog or others, pampering treatments like fancy bathing and grooming sessions, spending time with you doing fun doggo things. Special treats, comfy beds, etc.
Swimming is an excellent thing for arthritis in both humans and dogs. Finding a nearby lake or stream deep enough for them to take a swim can do wonders for getting them exercise with less pain.
Anyways, I'm sorry your pooch is having a rough go. Hopefully the final chapter can bring you both many joyous times together.

I think most would argue that he of all people on that vessel, definitely deserved his fate. Imagine if he had sent some random pilot down with the tourists? He would be happily breathing while trying to mitigate a disaster and feign ignorance and saying how could this happen, etc.
At least no one has to listen to that fool blathering about how his super dangerous DSV was not at all dangerous, and how this was just a freak accident. He sleeps with his victims, that, out of everything else, is fair.

It all reminds me a lot of the old web when websites would constantly break links, etc, and search results were constantly dead ends.

It's not unsurprising, and its sort of the same as a subreddit on reddit going "approved submitters only" in a manner of speaking when seeing influxes of users after big events like the banning of hate subreddits that caused many people to brigade.

Often times I would like a reminder to msg me or something and let me know I intend to return to a topic later. For example, there are a few great topics about programming stuff I would like to join the discussion on while toilet reading at work, but don't have time to contribute until later that evening, but by then I usually forget.

I would even argue it's an unfair burden on your wife to expect her to carry the bulk of the work.
If you have the leave available use it. If possible, just as long as her.
Edit: forgot to mention - I just had my oldest graduate college, my middle graduate high school, and my last child is going to be in high school in 2 years.
You do NOT get to go back and do it over again. You should be present as much as possible. Work is forever, childhood happens only once. Be there. Be present.

There are many born genetically female that have extreme high testosterone, and many born genetically male with very low testosterone.
This seems like an obvious solution to me, but it would require both sides of the argument to give up on gender based divisions. I have seen plenty of people dislike this idea when I suggest it, but none with a viable reason as to why it's a bad idea. Open to have my mind changed.

That said, I'm glad others find joy in the series! I just dislike the behavior of SOME fans who "can't believe" people don't think it's the best thing ever. Certainly other games have similar fans, it's just always louder with the larger releases.

I connect (6? 8? cant recall) of the drive bays to the on-board SATA controllers, Then I use a cheap used LSI SAS controller (forgot to list this one) card off ebay, along with some SAS SATA breakout cables to connect up most of the bays.
I plan on downsizing all of this. With solid state becoming so much more economical.. When I build a new gaming PC, my current gaming PC will become my new server (5950x cpu and an asus motherboard) - i will do away with all the spinning drives, maybe buying one new spinner as a "slow backup" drive to backup everything locally on the network before seeding it to my cloud backup.

Has about 10 spinning disks (formerly 15) - 4 WD Gold 5 TB drives running raid 6 equivalent in software, 5 WD Red drives that are quite old at this point running as a spare backup, and 1 WD purple drive that I used to use for DVR when I still had a cablecard tuner. Has one m.2 samsung 960 pro for boot.
It runs bare metal Hyper-V with storage pools for the hard drives, and i run two linux VM's on it, one for a tinker console and web server, along with an AirSonic server. This also serves as a reverse proxy to multiple various webui's I have for admin stuff. Then I run another Debian VM with Pterodactyl game server administration panel and backend game servers for me and friends - things like minecraft, 7days2die, valheim, etc.
Given how good proton has gotten, I would just move to linux fully at that point. I'd have to use windows at work, but thats a work problem, not mine.
More likely, microsoft will include a windows license with a Microsoft 365 plan, but still offer standalone licenses.
