I know I’m like over the MCU at this point, but this just kind of looks lame. Like a cheaper, weaker, rip off of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (one of the best MCU movies). I don’t like the way it looks either, I can’t explain it other than it looks weird and really artificial. And the CGI does not look good especially not the Red Hulk shot.
CGI is practically never finished when trailers are put out, so I wouldn't judge it based on that aspect. The other things you say though, can't disagree with that! How are the writers from FAWS...

I really really wanted to like Falcon-Winter Soldier. I did not. I wanted to see two mutual friends of Steve try to get along, but instead I get a lot of generic action and I can't remember anything fun or moving with regards to their friendship.
This trailer looks like more generic danger and action without much heart. Brave New world. What's new about it when they're presenting "spy bad", which is what we've had since forever? There's no interesting premise here presented other than "good man trying to do a good job and it's hard".
DC has a number of cherry trees gifted to them from Japan, who will replenish stock (shipping from the mainland itself, IIRC) to maintain a specific number, the exact number also escapes me. Don't...

Don't think they're present in Arlington, (I think I saw Arlington in the trailer) but they're definitely in abundance at the tidal basin. In fact, I want to say most, if not all the gift trees are there.
The trees themselves are a part of the DC culture, and with the microcosm of Japanese culture that's also within DC, they hold an annual cherry blossom festival in March/April, and have been doing so since at least the 1950's.
With all that being said, I will agree with the blossom backdrop feeling out of place with the iconography and imagery. They're not really the first thing that comes to mind when DC gets mentioned.
That's really good to know! I hope there's a movie mention of this cool fact and maybe talk about the seasonal blossoms a bit in the movie Maybe I'm being unfair to it and need to see the actual...

Maybe I'm being unfair to it and need to see the actual movie before spewing my ex-MCU fan hate on it :)
Definitely not alone. I enjoyed it as well. I don't think FAWS really moved the story along for either character, which a lot of people were expecting, but it gave both characters more depth.

I'm not arguing over personal opinions and you are entitled to yours without judgement of you. IMHO it's so bad I had to comment on how bad (not a typical thing for me). Have a good weekend!

This has seemingly nothing to do thematically with Brave New World. I'd be disappointed if I thought that Marvel had a chance of actually conveying the book in an effective way.

Then when I tried again with Iron Maiden's Brave New World I was infuriated that it had no mention of eugenics so I basically gave up on albums. Then I when I saw this made for TV movie, ONCE AGAIN I WAS DISAPPOINTED. So I had to go and get a drink at The Brave New World and once again, ZERO CONNECTION TO HUXLEY'S BOOK!

If I had the capacity to be 'wrong' then I might consider it as a possibility - but no. These people are wrong and someone clearly needs to warn them on the dangers of a sedated populace and the false promises of top-down utopia.

It was a name change from New World Order. I never had any association with the book BNW given that context so I'm intrigued to know how it struck you that way!

Haven't really been that interested since.

The Cherry blossoms are probably some data driven aesthetic based on market research showing it will drive the spring box office performance.
Got excited for a sec, but no, that was the crap one in space, not the excellent Dan Trachtenberg/Mary Elizabeth Winstead one. Dammit.
Apparently I am alone in liking FAWS and looking forward to this movie. That's ok, I'll probably enjoy it

Madame Web was absolute garbage. The terrible story, the inconsistent tone and pacing, and bad acting. Not sure we watched the same movie.
We are different people so thats ok that we have different impression from the same movie.
Its personal opinions in the end.

I concur. I regret watching it. Much bad.

Wikipedia disambiguates (if that's a verb(?)):
So apparently the phrase has been around for a while. 🙂
Honestly Marriam-Webster's etymology section seemed sus to me but didn't check further haha. Thanks for sharing that.

Not only am i uninterested in this movie, but watching this trailer makes me question how I ever enjoyed superhero movies

Yep, this is exactly how I felt too. Endgame happened and, yeah, that was the end
