Usually I would just post something afterwards but I need to talk about Silksong NOW.

SILKSONG in 48 HOURS
The thing that got my attention the most was in the pre-show, Denshattack. Basically Hi-Fi Rush + Tony Hawk's Pro Skater + anime because you're making a train car do skateboard tricks.
Uh...... HOLY SHIT
I don't know if I've ever wishlisted a game so quickly in my life. I'm about to kickflip this fuckin' train.
This is one of those concepts that is so simple, and also so awesome. I love finding games like this, it's the kind of concept that's just pure video game.
Looks insane! Will surely also feature multi-track drifting.
The interactivity with the world like with the ferris wheel also looks interesting and is something I hope they dig deeper into.
I wonder how much of the game will be on rails rather than freely being able to interact with things like that ferris wheel because of the path you took. It looked like a scripted event. Which isn't necessarily bad by the by, just wondering how much happens because of player choice and how much happened because the game signalled it would.
Never thought I would see a combat skateboarding train, and I am oh so very happy its a thing.
Delightful
This is the first game that I'm disappointed I won't have Game Pass when it launches. On the other hand, it's probably cheaper and better for the devs if I buy it.
Other stuff announced/had trailers so far:
After seeing the transition from CK2 to Ck3 I wonder how the transition between EU 4 to EU 5 will play out.
Seeing this also makes me wonder if a Stellaris 2 is in the works to be announced in the next few years.
EU 4 was released in 2013 - Sequel announced
CK 2 was released in 2012 - CK 3 released in 2020
Victoria 2 was released in 2010 - Victoria 3 was released in 2022
Stellaris was released in 2016
It should always be noted that ZA/UM have next to none of the creative leads of Disco Elysium still at the studio, but I do hope that Zero Parades turns out good.
Dear Dawn of war. Stick the landing. Kthx
Edit:
Having watched the trailer and the gameplay I'm cautiously optimistic.
I don't mind that they tried something new with 2 and 3, but they were clearly chasing trends, and the monetization of 3 was fucking awful.
It's nice to see a series that managed to actually create something new hopefully get back to basics and do what it did right.
The Batman game looks pretty sick. I like how TT games have been trying to make their gameplay more interesting lately I appreciate that.
The Arkham game combat looks cool too
It got /r/BatmanArkham out of their funk, and Lego Star Wars is the best interpretation of the franchise in my opinion, so I'm excited.
I’m so incredibly hyped for silksong too. I hope they announce the release date. I might actually take a vacation day just to play it on launch
The Battlestar Galactica game and Valor Mortis were the two games that piqued my interest most
World of Warcraft's new expansion:

Gameplay trailer
Every time I quit WoW, the next cinematic always gets me ready to go to war. Why are they so good?!?!
Ugh. I've fallen way off of retail WoW since Shadowlands and I hate that I don't know what's going on in the Lore anymore. I know there was a big war between the shadow and light alluded to in Legion, and I was really looking forward to some exploration into whether the Light is genuinely benevolent, or just another force in the universe using people to meet its ends. But then BFA did nothing with it and Shadowlands was just meh...And they'd fumbled the dragons for so long that I didn't even care about a dragon-themed expansion, which is insane because I used to adore the dragon lore.
I may need to just hunker down with a few hours of Nobbel lore videos to catch up and dive into the current expansion and then eventually this one. I believe the current one touches on the void/light stuff a bit, doesn't it?
Plus poor little Lor'themar is finally getting some love and attention? Hell yeah.
It's still a bit unclear at this point, but it seems they're going to revamp the new player experience a bit in Midnight. Looks like that will mean a streamlined leveling through Dragon flight and War Within to hit the main story points. So I think if you just start a new character after the Midnight patch, you should be good. Unless you enjoy watching a few hours of Nobbel, ofcourse. :D
I mean multiple hours of a dutch accent talking enthusiastically about lore? I already sold myself on it!
Haven't gotten around to watching all of them yet, but incredibly excited for Project Motor Racing
Second KCD2 dlc releasing 9th september. Three weeks until I can allow myself to finally play it. Or hell, I have managed to hold back this long, maybe I'll even wait for monetary dlc for the church interiors.
Really dig the aesthetic for UNBEATABLE. Not sure if my middle aged reflexes will be up to the actual rhythm gaming though.
Try the White Label demo (or the other demo they put out for Next Fest if it's still up). You'll see then. There's a number of free play songs included alongside the story.
Side thought: UNBEATABLE has some of the absolute best trailers I've ever seen in my life. Holy moly!
Agreed on the trailer. It's rare I can feel the emotions in a trailer, but this one just oozes with heart. I hope the game itself has just as much of that heart.
I've been playing the pilot/prototype for a while and it's a pretty fun time. Also got the demo after seeing the trailer and so far it looks pretty comprehensive and accessible. Each song has different difficulty charts and can be fairly forgiving on hit-register. And the 2 button system makes it perfect for casual controller players.
My only complaint is there should be a few more pattern modifiers to add some variation. I'm talking along the lines of Rhythm Doctor that I think has about 10 interactions on a one button system or Rift of the Necrodancer that treats notes as enemies that move and react to being hit. I counted 6 so far in Unbeatables Demo and 2 are pretty much reskins.
I'm a little disappointed. For a second I thought that somebody else remembered that internet enabled handheld console from the late 90s.
I haven't made my way through all the previews yet but poe 2 had their new season announcement and got me hyped up again, lot of posative seeming changes. Finally npc offline trading, I'll actually get involved with it now.
