I have to mention my favourite album, Porter Robinson - Worlds. To me, this album is the definition of fantasy and letting your mind roam to imaginary places. Relevant lyrics from another Porter Robinson song:
Every place you've ever imagined: it's real.
There is a fictional city in your mind, and you know every corner of it.
Your mind is a world, each of us is a place.
My next choice is Astrix - He.art. Psytrance is absolute magic, and to me is the best music to lose yourself in, especially when you’re really tired (or tripping, but I’m not planning on that anytime soon :P). This is the best psytrance album I’ve ever heard, and it really showed me how powerful the genre can be.
Not sure if you'll like something more Downtempo but EkaOlogic - Light Seeds was one of my favourite releases last year. They just released Perseida which after first listen feels on a par.

I listen to most of my music in the background playing video games, but whenever these albums come on I always take notice. The first two are super poppy and happy, and even though I'm a always a bit embarrassed whenever it comes up that I like that kind of music, I can't deny that I do. The second two are hip-hop/rap, but still pretty different. For Still Brazy all I really care about is the beat (DJ Mustard is great), and I think it delivers hard. But for Mecca and the Soul Brother, it's way more lyrical and fun to listen to. I guess I just like upbeat music.
I really love the G-Funk sound, and Still Brazy was kinda of like a modern take on it. Unfortunately it didn't really have as much of a revival as I was hoping for. I hope it doesn't stay trapped...

Troum - Sigqan - but quite honestly virtually any album by them. Other notable albums - Eald-Ge-Stréon and Shutûn, but seriously everything.
Coil - Time Machines - this is a truly unique electronic music album - designed and deliberately crafted to lose track of time and yourself.
Mono - Requiem for Hell - This is actually a playlist for a gig last January in Seoul because it was after the album was released and I also really enjoyed Jambinai's set. East Asian Post-Rock forever!. I love post-rock in general and GYBE, Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros, Caspian etc are all great, but something about Mono gives me goosebumps. I don't know why but their music just goes so much deeper than any other band in the genre. Hard to choose just one and this is probably recency bias - very close runners up: Hymn To The Immortal Wind and Under The Pipal Tree.
Pan Sonic - A - Experimental, electronic sound design at its peak. I can't find it on youtube or bandcamp. RIP Mika Vainio - I will forever mourn there will be no more of his creative output after this
I'll leave it there. I have a tendency to overshare and there's already more than than most people would follow anyway :)
Checking out that Mono playlist -- this is fucking awesome! I def love all the other post rock bands you listed there, so I'll be checking them out more in the next week or so for sure

I asked this because I've just spun up Trophy Eyes' Chemical Miracle; which I can just sit back and be almost entirely absorbed in, lyrically and sonically, for hours. There are a ton of them, but rather than list all of them, I'll just cover the most recent one I have come across: Yorlga. Sung by Noriko Mitose and written by Yoshitaka Hirota (of Shadow Hearts fame). It takes a while for the songs to completely sink in, but it's incredibly rewarding when it does. Listening to each song paints a different living scenery in my mind.

I found this "vaporwave?" thing on some youtube channel that aggregates things and it's been my goto for a while. Elyphant : Bellwether. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-6z9BzM2AQ. Imo it's not too close to vaporwave so I'm not entirely sure why it's on that channel, unless its just interest overlap.
It's a really relaxing album with a few interesting "off kilter" effects spattered throughout the songs so there's always something to catch my ear (namely the 2nd? song) but it lends itself to zoning out quite well because of the de-emphasis of lyrics in favour of melody.
That reminds me of this; also. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrenNlr1Wzo It's an original score for the show "utopia" although the album linked is the season 2 one, both are superb and eerie.
I often put the two on loop while i read audiobooks because why not? I did it for Artemis recently and it was phenomenal when the music would be "on tone" with the book. Plus when it wasn't entirely fitting; It's never too commanding to actually draw your focus away from anything.
Next is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BZhPIut3U8. It's the soundtrack to the film "Waking Life". Another bizarre piece of content, but the soundtrack itself isn't that experimental. It's mostly violins, pianos, and whatnot. Maybe classical? I'm not a huge buff on the genres so I'm not actually sure. I just love how tender it can be. The film it's from is quite "out there" but I think the music is quite even-keel

Still Brazy really is an incredibly produced album. I want more modern rappers to dip into that sound, but the well is so dry there.
I really love the G-Funk sound, and Still Brazy was kinda of like a modern take on it. Unfortunately it didn't really have as much of a revival as I was hoping for. I hope it doesn't stay trapped in the 90s.
