Hey all, I'm a board game designer named Adam Wyse and I just wanted to share my latest project that went live on Kickstarter this morning!

A little bit about me; I'm a former software engineer who now works in the board game industry full time. I have a few published games (Head of Mousehold, Masque of the Red Death), and many more that have been signed and will be coming out over the next year or two. I work for Roxley Games doing logistics and development. If you're a fan of modern tabletop games you've probably heard of Santorini or Brass.

Anyways, Mayday Games is publishing Poetry Slam; a word/party game for 3 to 8 players (10 if we reach the stretch goal). It's all about writing a word based on a prompt, then coming up with a short poem that allows other players to guess your word. Each player loses a letter each round that they can no longer use in later rounds. Coming up with your word faster will earn you more points, but you will lose more valuable letters! It's a strategic and hilarious word game that you can play with a big group - it makes for a pretty fun and unique experience.

One of the cool things that Mayday is doing is a referral system. If you back the game you get a referral link. If you get someone else to back the game using your link, you get a free playmat. Whoever refers the most people will get a cool prize pack!

Edit: The project was cancelled because it kind of stalled in the middle, but the game is still going to be produced! I'm sorry if I'm just blind, but there doesn't seem to be a way to permalink to a particular comment in a thread or to "go to comment" from the Comment Replies in your profile.

For larger threads when someone responds, getting the larger context is quite useful so it'd be nice to "go" to my comment in a thread vs just responding from the inbox, especially if I want to reference other comments made in the discussion.

WaPo had an interesting breakdown a few days ago on most of the shots in the video and theories as to their meaning that is worth reading.

However, one thing I noticed they (and most other people so far) missed was that you can see Glover's back in the beginning since he is facing away from the camera and there is clearly no gun in his pockets or in his waistband... so it simply materializes when he reaches behind him after he slowly dances towards his first victim.

They also don't mention how during the third to last scene everyone screams and scatters even though he is only making a gun shape with his hands which, when contrast against the actual scenes of murder causing no reaction by anyone, says a lot.

I am also currently addicted to Reaction videos on YouTube of people watching the video for the first time. Peoples' initial shock and their different interpretations of the video are fascinating to watch. In one of them, someone even mentioned something nobody else seemed to notice... that after the first murder, the gun is carried away by someone else with an almost reverence while the body is simply dragged away like garbage and again after the second murder scene as well.

Anyone else notice any other interesting elements worth noting?

Hey, Just a thought. I'm not sure what the legal standing of warrant canaries (i.e. being compelled to lie) are in Canada, but given the privacy level afforded by the site the key component to that privacy is trust.

You're doing a lot to make sure private data is treated as harmful, and with the open source code being visible, but that's still not a guarantee that the server is actually running the code that will be open sourced.

Tildes could probably benefit from a warrant canary given that it's a platform for user generated content and if it gets prominent enough it may be subject to LEO scrutiny. Compliance with LEO is a given since the website operates under Canadian Jurisdiction, but given the... nature of some requests (Gag Orders / Etc...) a canary could be a privacy positive move for users of Tildes.
