I've been using "Lose it!" mainly because I like the integrations it comes with, such as Garmin (watch tracking) and Withings (scale tracking). On days I work out extra hard or do more yard work than normal, the app automatically adjusts my allowed calorie intake for the day. And the scale integration helps keep the app updated towards the estimated completion date of my goals based on weigh ins.

There are a ton of differences and I think that's part of the reason they've been releasing a feature video per week since June up until release (https://www.paradoxinteractive.com/games/cities-skylines-ii/features).

One key difference I'm excited for is that every individual car/person in the game is real. What I mean by that is that the traffic or population density is not simulated based on some factors like in CS1. In CS2 every car needs a parking spot, every person has a story of their life from when they moved into the city to death, and there are no longer any hardcoded limitations in terms of nodes or city complexity. It scales with your PC hardware.

I recommend watching some of the feature videos linked before of categories you care about to see the actual differences.

I should've clarified this would be a sub-par port for current gen consoles barring the switch. They ported it for the switch and were most likely like "eh, we could sell this on other consoles too". I was looking for a reason to play this game again and was anticipating a PS5 port that incorporated some modern functionality like 60 fps. I wouldn't of even commented originally if this was only a switch release. My gripe is that they did the work for a port and didn't do anything extra for the PS5, just a random release for PS4.

The maps are actually smaller than CS1 modded. City Planner Plays has a breakdown on the math of it. The trade-off is that the vertical scale and ability to use more of the existing space make up for the smaller space. Also CS1 had the hardcoded node limitations which meant a city can only get so big no matter how much of the map you unlock whereas in CS2 there are no hard caps so you can actually use every bit of space (assuming your computer can handle it).

I was really hoping to play a sorc for the new season...

Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage to Immobilized reduced from 25/50/75% to 10/20/30

Who thought a change like that was acceptable? Almost a 50% decrease in damage? May as well remove the class from the game. I understand all classes got nerfed but sorc nerfs are not even on the same level as the other classes.

Tickets were on sale so far in advance and they rotate movies so fast out of Dolby + IMAX (at least by me) that I didn't want to get crappy seats or miss the premium formats. I booked the tickets a couple weeks ago and the good seats were already taken for about the first 4-5 days of showings.

And it does look like industrial, or at least for farms, is free-form zoning. Surprised they didn't highlight it specifically.

Don't have a preference personally. When a game gets released or announced, i do some research on it and if it's something I think I would like then it gets added to my wishlist. I have too many games and too little time to follow the hype of every announcement or drop everything to play a shadow drop.

At my current stage in life, I have the year planned out for what games I will be playing with a little buffer added for unexpected gems, like Dave the Diver as an current example. For the rest of the year, I plan on playing Baldur's Gate 3, Armored Core 6, and Cities Skylines 2. There are many other games I'm excited for but unfortunately I have to be realistic with my time availability and what I believe would be the best ROI for me based on my preferences.

It would be a nice surprise. So far they've been using the same city to demo all these new features, so if bikes are in the game then I figure we would of already seen them in the background.

Also the feature schedule for these videos has been already released. If they were going to show bikes I would've expected it in this video as none of the other ones make sense to have it in.

EDIT: Did a quick lookup and seems they already confirmed via Twitter bikes will not be in the base game. For those of you who can't see the post, it's from ColossalOrder and states:

Unfortunately, we will not have bicycles at the release, but they haven't been forgotten. Let's see what the future brings once the game is released and we continue to evolve it.
