I've been seeing a lot of conflicting opinions on Fallout 76. Most of it seemingly boiling down to people being in favor of the experimentation by Bethesda, but against the lack of mod support or the always online component. I'm wondering: for those who are invested in the Fallout franchise, where do you stand on the idea of Fallout 76 and why?

I'll probably elaborate my own thoughts a little later in comments but for now I'm interested in reading other people's opinions.

    2. Games you're excited about?

Anything from the newly introduced games at E3 to older games that you're rediscovering. I personally have come back to Kerbal Space Program after several years of it sitting in my Steam library....

I personally have come back to Kerbal Space Program after several years of it sitting in my Steam library. I used to try to go too quickly through the career mode, but now that I've slowed down I have the chance to actually learn how orbits and transfers work! It's so satisfying to design something with just enough fuel to get there and back again, and achieve MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY.

Per BE3, Fallout 76 will be "entirely online" featuring dedicated servers with "dozens, not hundreds and not thousands" of players per server. T Howard reports that progress stays with your character and that death is not too impactful progress wise (not sure what this means).

Apparently, it is 4x the size of Fallout 4, and it does look really good. The gameplay looks good, VATS is not featured.

I am very nervous about it being online, as I almost always play stealth ranged in these games and I don't see that working well. I also play Fallout the most when my internet is down.

What does everyone else think about this?

    4. Has anyone played any of the Legend of Zelda Randomizer games?

I’m considering checking them out myself. The general idea is that the game (they have versions for the NES original and Link to the Past) is like normal, except the items in the treasure chests are all switched. So the Hookshot may be in some random chest in some random cave, and as a result you have to find everything.

    5. As per the username: Anyone want to talk about D&D? If you play - what's going on in your game?

I notice quite a few people on here play RPGs, whether it's D&D or another system. I have an hour to spare until my game starts, so I thought we could chat a bit about the hobby. GMs, players -...

GMs, players - what's going on in your game right now?

If you're just browsing ~games and have never played - ask questions!

So, it seems bingo cards of hype or disappointment have become all the rage nowadays, and with E3 coming up in a few days I was wondering is Tildes wanted to make their own hype/disappointment bingo card. Feel free to chime in with suggestions.

      Here's a few:

"Microsoft does something actually cool." - wishful thinking, but I love my xbox and just want to see it flourish.

"Video Game movie announcement that doesn't look like shit" - how hard can this be?

"Sony gets exclusive content" - this is just me being bitter about the exclusive dlc in PS4 Destiny.

"God of War sequel" - I know it's guaranteed to happen at some point, but it would be hype if they dropped some sort of teaser or something even though it's incredibly early.

"0 charisma presenters" - why can't these studios just hire someone to hype them up?

"Awful fucking 'gamer' dialogue" - you know what I'm talking about. Just look up E3 last year with Anthem.

"Over-focusing on a lack of microtransactions" - this point is gonna be over sold so hard because of Battlefront.

    8. Does anyone have advice for getting a D&D game going for beginners that includes people who aren't familiar with RPG mechanics?

First off, I've noticed a lot of D&D chatter on here, so I figured you all would be a great resource for this. I've never played D&D but after listening to some of The Adventure Zone, I'm really getting into the idea. I want to play with a group of friends, but there are a few people who have never really played an RPG and get somewhat self-conscious playing things like board games. Any recommendations for a good starting point for this sort of situation?

I went through the topics and did not see a previous on on this, so I am curious what your current favorites are, from both a single player experience offline (no pvp or multiplayer mode) or MMORPG wise?

Bonus points for new MMORPGS and undervalued titles which are just fun and engaging to play. I have to have the ability to get up and walk away at a moments notice for work purposes, so pvp and requirements that I spend a lot of continuous time are hard to find in a fun game, even if I do not get called away like that for days at a time. I am into strategy more than FPS, but all are welcome!
