Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Consoles were banned in my house growing up and Spyro was a rarefied and forbidden experience for me, on the few occasions I got to play it at friends' houses. I was really bad at it too, but this added to the appeal. It has a special kind of nostalgia for me and I'd love to revisit it remastered.

So I grew up in africa, probably about 100km from the nearest proper power grid, so almost no light polution. The night sky was really, really beautiful. Its hard to describe if you havent seen it, but the sky is... vivd, bright, almost bright enough to see by. (more than bright enough on a full moon.) Id often sleep outside during the hot season, with nothing but a mosquito net between me and the sky. I remember seeing the milky way, not just as a few brighter spots in the sky, but as a whole stripe of the sky, lit up. Those pictures you see of 'dark sky zones'? there isnt photo editing there.

Anyway, when I see the night sky today, in the US, I feel dissapointed, and sad. Industrialization has done a lot of good, dont get me wrong, but it saddens me that what used to be a universal experience is now just... not existence for a very large portion of humanity.

Kinda cheesy but well, sometimes I wonder if any other intelligent creature is looking at my direction from somewhere else.

I'm intrigued by the vastness of it.

I feel sad that there's so much suburban sprawl that there's basically no way to drive far enough to escape light pollution and actually see the stars.

Also, and this feels like it shouldn't qualify but it was this post that got me to pirate Slay the Spire on my old phone. It was through Tildes I first heard of the game. I followed its development for a while, and wanted to try it during a period where I had no money and no internet, so I pirated it. I really liked it, and have been meaning to buy it for a while. I don't think receiving it as a gift would, uhh, restore the karmic balance or whatever, and would probably actually discourage me from buying the game in the future. So, well, put me last on the list I guess.

I've heard good things about Tunic, and was thinking about picking it up next time I saw it on sale. I'm a huge fan of souls-likes, and have been itching for a new one after platinuming Elden Ring. I like the cute aesthetic of it, and am interested to see where it falls on the cute & calm <-> stressful & scary spectrum!

Oh, and I would probably play it on steam :)

I do know that Tunic has a in-game manual and that seems very intriguing. It also looks beautiful from videos I've seen.

I’ve had Tunic saved in my tabs for a few months now so I don’t space on it. You’d be saving whole megabytes of my RAM letting me close it! Just think of the picojules of energy savings not reloading the same Steam page every other day :p

You might want to get Tabletop Simulator and/or Tabletop Playground; they will give you a complete table-like experience complete with physics whenever that's important to you. Granted I think there's a website somewhere that is more popular for online roleplaying.

I'd like to ask what kind of roleplay you're after. If you're looking for an MMO-styled RP and not a tabletop or RPG game, I would definitely recommend FFXIV. Even with the facial expressions alone, it wins my vote on that aspect due to the immersion it provides. Can even recommend you to some Immersive RP communities if you like.
