With the Steam Summer Sale soon, whats a title you have your eyes on?
Transport Fever, Rise of Industry and Squad. I really enjoy tycoon games :) Is Squad still relevant?

I went through the topics and did not see a previous on on this, so I am curious what your current favorites are, from both a single player experience offline (no pvp or multiplayer mode) or MMORPG wise?
Bonus points for new MMORPGS and undervalued titles which are just fun and engaging to play. I have to have the ability to get up and walk away at a moments notice for work purposes, so pvp and requirements that I spend a lot of continuous time are hard to find in a fun game, even if I do not get called away like that for days at a time. I am into strategy more than FPS, but all are welcome!
If so, how about we get a bit of a match thread going here?
What video games that are coming out soon do you have your eye on?
There's a co-op game for the Switch coming out next year called Rite of Ilk that I think would be fun. I don't have a Switch yet but I'll probably be getting one in a couple months.
Also, still waiting patiently for Miegakure like it was Godot.
My friends and I just finished our first run through EDF 4.1, and we had a blast. We each accumulated about 60 hours in the game doing so. Some of that was probably spent goofing around on other classes or strengthening up a bit for the three or four missions we got stuck on. All in all though, I'm amazed that it took us that long to get through.
Actually, I'd say that's my response to this game in general. For something I had never really heard of, it was surprisingly good. The game was ridiculous at the start with the giant bugs but as it went it somehow just got crazier and crazier. The scale of the game was just fantastic in terms of enemy variety and size. The hilarity of the B movie writing paired with the outrageous gameplay made it an uproar between the four of us.
The progression system was decent and probably the weakest point. The sheer amount of equipment was a big plus, since it's always exciting to see something new at the end of a mission and find out if it's any good or not, but it was pretty easy to identify an optimal strategy for each mission. There were some classes of weapons (for ranger at least) that were outright useless in a practical sense, which is disappointing. The variety in weapon design is great, but it's unfortunate that it couldn't be more balanced.
Are there any other games that really scratch this itch? I can think of a lot of four-player co-op games that don't really fill that void. EDF is too fast-paced, has too many good "wtf moments", and has too enjoyable a progression system. For those of y'all on ~ who have played it: what other games did you enjoy that were sort of alike to EDF 4.1?
Just wondering...
personally a nyxl fangirl, but if there comes a team to scandinavia, i’ll be on that hype train instantly!
Speaking of dnd, anybody looking for a game? Anybody have a game and need players? Well come on and post them then!
I had this game on my phone for awhile but only just started last night. So far I think it's neat what kinds of landmarks can be pokestops, like a little fountain by a restaurant or a very old building. It also reminds me of those pokewalker things from long ago, the ones that counted your steps. It also kills me when a church is a gym.
Now I'm not walking everywhere or buying plane tickets trying to do this but it's pretty pleasant so far. What are your thoughts, Tildes?
Edit: I took my first gym at a quaint little church and the Nidorino I left there came back about 6 hours later. There's more people playing this than I realized, also more churches lol.
Let's do it guys! Every good forum/community from Ars Technica to the XKCD forums has had a go taking turns playing the most detailed simulation game I have ever seen. I can generate the world for ideal 44.10 (and hopefully 44.11) settings with my extra adventurer reactions.
Now that dwarves can get angry and stressed again, now is an opportune time. Who's with me?
.
If so, what build are you going to use at the start?
I'm relatively new to PoE so really looking forward to this new league. Thinking I may start with Molten Strike or something like that. Still undecided, like usual :)
Hello ~games
Do any of you have experience finding D&D groups who still play traditional table-top, IRL, Minis-inclusive, dice obsessive D&D in Toronto? I have never played outside of Roll20 and I can never figure out where/what to look for in a group (preferably one that's just starting out like me). Having grown up watching the likes of Acquisitions Incorporated and Critical Role, I've always wanted to experience that sort of camaraderie :(
Who here plays Dwarf Fortress? It is such an amazing game that I only got back to playing last night after a weeks-long hiatus while focusing on my job.
I prefer playing Adventurer mode with some crafting mods, and exploring the land - socializing, having fun, making NPC pals, and being a hero.
Maybe we can do a Tildes DF succession game!
In advance of (I hope) ~gaming.tabletop.StarWars.Xwing :) Any other X wing players here. I was falling out of love with it, but the relaunch for second edition really gets me excited to play again, which is great as i have maaaanay tiny plastic spaceships to push about.
If you don't know, info here https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/x-wing-second-edition/ and it is a pretty fast and dynamic tabletop space fighter skirmish games. Plays in 75 mins (you stop after that) and very much streamlined versus other tabletop miniature games.
I want to hear stories about your beloved characters that you've created. What's their backstory, their style, their hooks, their interesting achievements, etc. Got a pic? Post it! Wrote a lengthy history? Share it!
I'll post mine too in a bit. After a character death in Curse of Strahd, my DM and I decided to reveal Rictavio's secret identity as my new character, a Water Genasi Tempest Cleric :)
On that note, no Strahd spoilers please!
I was wondering how many of us are actually here. Feel free to comment anything - just give a lifesign that I am not alone in this grim darkness where are only dank memes :)
Just wondering if there are a lot of Warframe players on here?
Anyone want to team up and play together? If so, what missions do you mostly play? Personally, I enjoy playing any endless fissures in the Void for as long as I can, long Kuva Fortress for a lot of Kuva, Eidolons, farming things for Plat, and helping other players in recruit chat.
My In game name is KalleDemos, just like my username. Feel free to hit me up on here or send me a request and message in game! I play on the PC version.
Just wondering if anyone else around here plays Factorio. I got it a few weeks ago and am having a wonderful time of wasting hours upon hours building massive spaghetti factories :)
I'd swear that I'm not completely addicted but that would be a lie.
For those not familiar with Stardew Valley: Developed by ConcernedApe, Stardew Valley is a farming simulation RPG that can be compared to Harvest Moon. Quite enjoyable solo, even more fun as a multiplayer game with the new update. Available on the Switch as well as other consoles. Currently the MP is only available on Steam/GOG.
Are any other Tildes playing? Have you tried modding (on PC)? Who's your waifu/husbando?
I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread for people to find other people to game with. Remember to put what console you're playing on, or if you're PC, and what games you're looking to play! Best of luck to all!
I work overnight so I usually play around 1 pm to 4 pm weekdays (I know, weird hours). Anyway my. Xbox gamertag is TreeBone. I have been playing a lot of fortnite lately but I also get into Halo 5, Overwatch, and on steam I've been playing Don't Starve Together. I'm up for anything though! Drop me a line.
Hi guys!
I've always being curious about tabletop games, RPG, DnD and so on. The fantasy, creativity and engagement always interested me, but I've never met anyone who played it and never being involved with it (I'm in São Paulo, Brazil, btw).
So, to be direct, does anyone has any tips on how to start? I know there are "internet based" tabletop sites/communities, but I don't know how it works.
I'd appreciate any direction! Thanks!
I've been really enjoying Sea of Thieves lately, and I'm pretty enthusiastic about the new update coming on Tuesday. Anyone else feeling the same?
I've only got a couple people who I play with from time to time, so if anyone would like to crew up, just add me. My Xbox tag is the same as my Tildes username.
What's our population of boardgame fans like? What are your favorite games? What kind of experiences do you like to get out of games?
Dose anyone here play Rec Room (vr)?
Any fellow Tildes playing this? I picked it up yesterday with the steam release and it interests me enough to probably keep playing. Although I do think I'm going to need a different guild(nothing against the one I'm in just I'm NA and they're EU).
For those who want a quick idea of the game I would say it's a mix of EVE and Runescape. While there are traditional skills you level up based on a mix of these two. You gain "fame" based on certain tasks. But unlike runescape mining copper ore forever won't allow you to max out your mining skill set. You actually need to mine higher quality stuff.
For eve like stuff I would say look at banking and how PVP is handles. Banking is all local so if you want to move a lot of stuff it will probably take a long time(I just started but imagine they'll eventually offer something like contracts(or at least hope they do)). Then PVP has different levels like safe, red(where you can enable PVP and attack others), or black where PVP is always an option with no consequence other than other players.
Like I said I'm a noob but will try to answer any questions I can for those wondering about it. Links below for whatever else you may want to know.
