This isn't a spolier this "late" in the game, so congratulations to Red Bull Racing Honda RBPT for winning the 2023 World Constructors' Championship, and their driver Max Verstappen for the winning the 2023 World Drivers' Championship. Plus all the other records Max has smashed this year—talk about domination!

The 2024 schedule is out and the first GP is February 29 - March 2 in Bahrain.

Pre-season testing will also be in Bahrain, Feb. 21-23 (the week prior). We usually get a little bit of sneakpeak, I think.

Anyway, enjoy the break, everyone. I know I'll enjoy not waking up at odd hours or not sleeping for F1 sessions for a few months! See you all -- according to David Coulthard -- in 97 days for testing!

I want to keep this short and sweet:

I used Macrium Reflect to clone a Windows 11 install from one bad SSD to a new one. I had to reinstall to repair the Windows install, but it's a done deal, but I feel burned by Macrium and want to find an alternative.

I was wondering if anybody had any leads on great cloning software for general use? I'm willing to pay money, and it can be online or offline software (in OS or via USB).

I have two drives, a 4TB and 1TB HDDI'm cloning to 4TB SSDs to have on newer devices, since these two are quite old and I got a deal on a pair of Crucial SSDs on Amazon (a brand/line I'm familiar with, they're good drives). These largely have games that aren't installed, legacy data old music rips I want access to, and currently active user profiles.

My goal: clone the partitions over to the new drives, pop them in with hopefully the same drive letters, and expand the partitions to use all free space and be done with it. Ideally I would also have tool I can recommend to others without concern, assuming they have basic computer literacy.

Will CloneZilla do this just fine? Is there anything better, proprietary or otherwise? Any idea how long this can be expected to take over Sata II (I've got a hotswap port I'll be cloning to outside my case, then popping it open to swap the drives).

I did not use facebook for ages, i always thought i need it for my international contacts, but now this new pay or say yes to ads window showed up I realised I did not use it for a long time. So I was like, tech is like clothes, if you don't use it for a year it's time to let it go.
So i tried to delete my acc.

I am thankful for this website and the people on it. I am here very often– more than I ought to be. Of late, it has been my sole recourse as I am usually alone and always drift toward idleness.

You are an honest and conscientious group of people. I am thankful to have here a community which is so thoughtful and full of so many interesting folks. I am always intrigued by people and their stories. Though I don’t usually comment on these topics, I am especially surprised by how willing many of you are to share very personal feelings and memories.

I am thankful for those who put up with me. On this website I suppose that means everyone who reads ~transport. I am thankful especially to those who share their perspectives and take the time to examine the particulars of ideas I present.

I am thankful for what is and not just what could be, even though I am characteristically focused on the latter.

I am thankful for those who love me. Yesterday, I made a somewhat foolish decision that brought me great pain (physically—literally, and otherwise). I suppose I would say I allowed my pride to supersede the reality of my body. I evaded further consequence only on the kindness of another. I was very fortunate to have such a resource in a time of need.

Occasionally (like everyone) I have some kind of mortal scare, or some kind of interpersonal realization, or some other serious emotional conflict which leads to a pivot in my life, or some better and more complete understanding of life and the world. So I am thankful that I am still here, and that I am yet able to see the world with my own two eyes.

I am not at my most mobile right now, nor my most comfortable, for reasons that are mostly my fault. So I may remain rather active here for the foreseeable future. Or I may not as it would possibly prove better for me to look at fewer screens altogether. In any case, I am thankful for all the interesting discussions I have had on this website, and any future ones I may theoretically have.

I was chatting with a friend about Thanksgiving. Neither of us find the holiday relevant to us, so this year we're going for something health-oriented (somewhat off-theme, but we liked it). I'd love to have lots of traditions, but I didn't grow up with them. If you found a tradition later in life, how did it come about?

I've tried looking for it, but I can't find it. It was an essay about how a large increase of new members alienates the community feeling. How the income of stranger must be kept low so they can become "not a stranger" and how many strangers at once stop that from happening because people know each other less.

Unfortunately I can't find it at all. Does anyone still remember/have it saved?
