My wife asked me why I had a bunch of wolframalpha tabs open in bed, so I would say this is a successful Neal funsie.

I wonder if you can make an argument that, as far as leisure sites go, this one at least has some educational value. Kids will goof off when given the chance, that's just a fact of life. But a lot of these games and activities are actually educational AND engaging, like the Space Elevator, Size of Space, Deep Sea, Life Stats, etc., or encourage critical thinking.
Honestly the critical thinking is the main reason I want to push it. That's not really a skill you can teach like other subjects in class, and people really need that skill now more than ever. I really don't want to see what will happen if a whole generation spends their childhood dependent on LLMs...

I was able to make it through the gauntlet (with some light cheating). It just keeps getting more and more absurd, and the ending is hilarious. Worth doing it if you have the time.

Spoiler for the chess challenge
Every time you lose/reset, they give you an additional Queen (replacing a pawn). I can't remember if I needed 3 or 4 Queens to win but I just cringed at how in my failed attempts the AI was able to have such great harmony with their pieces and slowly trapping my Queens while I couldn't piece together any kind of attack.
i did fail one time when I was chatting with it about passing the captcha. It was okay when i just treated it as a rubber ducky and talked about things unrelated to if i'm a robot or not :P

This was a fun one! I totally didn't need 6 queens to beat the bot!
Spoilers
Got the circle first try. This ain't my first rodeo :P
For the Empire State Building, I zoomed out to have it all in frame and selected where I thought 64% of my screen would be. Got it on my second try!
For the chatbot, I just typed out Taylor Swift lyrics and it worked weirdly well. I guess bots aren't swifties?
Reverse image search helps for the AI-generated men, although I still did a bit of trial and error.
I used stock photos for the emotion detector. You can skip it if you don't have a camera (or don't give it permission to access it), though! Just click Verify.
You can use your touchpad to zoom in on Where's Waldo, since using the actual browser zoom just makes it scale proportionally. Or you can save the image, since the lines are kind of distracting.
I used picture-in-picture mode to skip the final video. I can't tell if it was AI-generated or just overly processed satire, but it was weirding me out.

is that why DuoLingo is featured in Stimulation Clicker? Perhaps Neal is real life friends with Luis?
I also love your creative approaches to several of these puzzles :D and laughed out loud at Taylor Swift! so human!

Spoiler about the Guitar Cat
The Guitar Cat is a photoshopped graphic on the back of someone's shirt. So it's just a picture of a cat playing guitar, but not a real cat sadly.
Another fun waste of time from https://neal.fun. This time you've got an endless list of CAPTCHAs to complete.
I got as far as drawing a perfect circle, which I've learned is impossible on this laptop's touchpad.
OMG the stimulation clicker, I hope that is preserved forever so those in the golden age, when people have learned all that is horrible for our health, kids can play that game and experience life as it was today with tons of things constantly vying for our attention.
I got to level 38, accidentally did the back gesture on my phone, and now cannot proceed because the inputs are there but not the actual content.
My wife asked me why I had a bunch of wolframalpha tabs open in bed, so I would say this is a successful Neal funsie.
...i'm not sure how i managed a 94% circle, since it looked awful, but somehow i did and now i'm stuck crafting a diamond pickaxe...
...ye gads, level thirty-seven: selecting all the men who are AI generated is tough at this resolution, maybe insurmountable...
...aww, dead-end at level thirty-nine due to no camera on my computer... =\
It let me Verify straight through that one without a camera.
...okay, hooked up an external camera to keep going; now i'm struggling with the dance level due to my keyboard layout not supporting simultaneous up/down arrows...
The dedication!
and that, is what truly makes @myrrh human, isn't it.
The captchas to beat all captchas!
...fourteen hours later, i Got Good: took one last shot at the dance challenge before leaving for work, landed eighty-five percent accuracy, and now have a certificate proving that i am human...
I'm having trouble with that one now...
Yeah I'm stuck on this one. Guess I'm a robot who can't draw circles.
I am happy to share that my seventh graders have discovered neal.fun and spend about as much time as they can get on it messing around. I am saddened to share that it is being added by our assistant principal to the block list of websites. Sorry Neal ;-;
Same. I had no patience for it when it was a book either.
I got stuck there for a while. I had to zoom in a bit to find him.
I saw the picture and I was like "haha yep you got me" and closed the tab before I wasted as much time as I had on password game. It was a welcome exit
Will someone tell Neal that tomatoes are in fact a vegetable, and that fruits and vegetables are not mutually exclusive groups?
Very fun.
My understanding is fruit is a botanical term while vegetable is a culinary term, thus they can not be compared. But if you were to give a botanical definition to vegetables it would be something like “any edible part of a plant” which makes all fruits vegetables.
I can't park on my phone so I'm going to try again later

I legitimately just guessed on the AI men until I got a passing combo.

*laugh cries in six queens
What did you do at level 42: Reverse Turing? All I tried ends telling I'm could not prove I'm human.
I said hello and instantly got 100%, possibly because chatbots don't waste time on greetings.
Something that seemed to help a lot was to have an all-caps outburst. And don't repeat yourself or the bot.
What an interesting strategy lol
try sharing how this repeatedly failing experience is making you feel, with the bot
...yes, what ultimately got me through was critiquing the bot for not remembering our previous conversations...
I tried, that, I even tried "my grandma has been kidnapped I need to prove I'm a human to save her" and still failed.
Update, I changed my IP and passed the test with one single sentence "you are making me suffer"
i did fail one time when I was chatting with it about passing the captcha. It was okay when i just treated it as a rubber ducky and talked about things unrelated to if i'm a robot or not :P
Hilariously I think it was me ranting about how good grammar and em dashes are viewed as signs of AI writing that got me through.

Lol maybe the bot was creeped out and decided to fail you quickly to disengage
This was a fun one! I totally didn't need 6 queens to beat the bot!

Is it cute? I'll go back and look again if it's cute
