Survey: The temperature in my room now is _____ and it feels _____
I'm curious how everyone here is coping this summer. Personally I prefer winter, I can always warm up with blankets and hot soup if it gets too cold. But this time of year even with the AC on full blast my brain still feels entirely cooked.
For my room it is now 80F/27C and it feels too dang hot!!
(also about 40% humidity here, which is high for what is normally a desert region)
The temperature in my room now is triple digits and it feels like satan's butthole.
I just got done helping someone move, so I'm a bit ornery the AC isn't combating the heat as much as I'd hoped.
It’s interesting how I’ve pretty much forgotten about the existence of hot or humid weather. When I travel somewhere and finally step outside of the air conditioned terminal there’s often a confused moment. I never anticipate it. I’m like “What is that feeling? It’s familiar…”

The temperature in my room now is 69°F and it feels nice.
I have to crank the AC at the end of the day to get it to cool down the bedroom. The living room cools off just fine. I’d say it gets too cold. But the bedroom is a sauna.
Have it at 76 F (24 C). Usually keep it between 74-76 in the summer. Any colder and I want to put on more layers.
In the winter I keep the thermo at 60. So that's a 15 degree difference, but beyond electricity costs, I like feeling the season.
Interesting take, I end up wanting my room opposite of the weather most of the time. I'll just go outside to feel the season!
68F (or if you want something more scientific, 528 Rankine). It feels warm. I like it cold. Like really cold. I think I need to move to the arctic circle.
68 sounds about perfect for me. I can understand wanting it even colder though I think I'd miss the occasional casual walk in the woods.
This is with the AC running. I could not stand 80. I hated it when I didn't have AC.
I like the cold a lot more than hot days. The heat always feels like I can’t escape it. Especially when you have to do some manual labor, it’s miserable.
Interestingly, my wife is the opposite. She has that same feeling with the cold. Where I have the feeling I can always warm up by adding another layer or something, she feels like she can’t escape the cold. It’s interesting how that’s different for different people.

18C ish/no idea in F. It feels fine though the pub down the road with an open fire is occupying a place in my desires.
81F and 49% humidity, which doesn't feel bad. Humidity is very high for my region at this time of year however.
My AC is on and will drop the temperature down to 78 soon. That's the temp I keep my house overnight, and it often feels a little too cool while the AC blower is going.
74°F and 58% humidity. It feels swampy. And this is with the AC running and a decent sized dehumidifier. I would prefer it cooler but it's a very old house and expensive to cool.
Huh. That's basically my exact temp/humidity, but I've got my house open to the night air to cool it back down overnight. It feels pretty much exactly neutral, maybe a tiny bit warm.
Erm. Are this survey only about USA? If yes can we add USA tag or change title?

Nah, I don’t feel like it is. More like a fun question than a serious survey, and anyone can answer. I hope at least, because I’m not in the US.
Yeah I realize it's not summer everywhere but I'm still curious how different people around the world like their room temps.
Does the rest of the northern hemisphere not have weather to talk about? The OP was talking about summer, but the US doesn't have a monopoly on it.
Arrived at the vacation home yesterday and the house is a perfect 21C/70F. Outside it’s been 33-38C/92-100F for a long time now, but since the house is built with thick stone walls and is partially built into a hill, it remains cool without AC. It’s heavenly! Now that we’re here, temperature in house will rise a bit, but won’t go over 23C/73F.
Only downside is that it always smells a bit like a damp cloth. But that’s also part of the charm, I guess.
That sounds great, I need to get myself a proper bat-cave too! :D
The temperature in my room now is 76°F/24.4°C and it feels good. It's probably actually a little cooler in here, maybe be like a degree or two, but that's what the thermostat says.
It's 4am on the US east coast. I've had my windows open all day! Nice to save some on electricity.
