With the constant influx of new users from Reddit, every once in a while I see people complain about some type of content that they find disruptive and annoying. They take their dissatisfaction to the comments, either criticizing the poster or expressing their annoyance.
Those contributions are often disruptive and offtopic themselves, derailing a potentially productive discussion
Tildes has a feature that may come in handy in those cases: filtered tags. It allows the user to prevent content they dislike from being displayed to them.
To add a filtered tag, click on
Filtered topic tags
right belowBrowse the list of groups
. You will be taken to a page where you can add any tags that you want to filter, one per line. For example, if you are displeased with the amount of videos on your frontpage, just add

and save. Now you won't see any video submissions. If, at any time, you wish to see those posts, you can either click on
View unfiltered list
at the top of the page or click on the tagVideos
in yourFiltered topic tags
list. That way, you will never be annoyed by content you don't like :)

Do you replay video games?

Now that Baldur's Gate 3 is releasing on PS5, I got to thinking about a pet peeve I have as a gamer: no matter how many choices and freedom a game gives me, I can hardly get myself to replay it after I finish it once.
There are only ever a handful of exceptions - mostly when I want to show my partner some games I loved when growing up.
The best example I have is Skyrim: I absolutely loved the game on launch date, and I was glued to my PC for several weeks. But after I finished it, I could never get back into it.
I guess my question is less about games that are designed to be replayable (strategy, sims, management, multiplayer) and more about titles such as The Witcher, Grand Theft Auto, Red Ded Redemption, Metal Gear Solid, etc.
So, do you replay such "replayable" titles? Why or why not?

What are your favorite soundtracks for films and video games?
Basically the title. I have seen soundtracks referenced in my searches for ambient music and homework music, but (possibly due to search skills) I didn't find a full discussion focused on this....

#5 Katanagatari
If you've watched this you probably already know I'm going to say... (SPOILER)
Having been pretty skeptical of watching this in the first place, I made it that far and did not see this coming at all. I was totally dumbstruck. I'm thankful that I didn't see this when it originally aired, because there was no way I would have been able to wait a month for the next episode.
#4 Mononoke
The exorcism sequences.
I would link the first scene, but the only high-quality sources I can find are on YouTube, and their video compression simply cannot do it justice. If you are interested in this show at all (and you definitely should be, it's truly a work of art!), don't try to find out too much, just go in blind.
This just blew me away when I first saw it. I still think of this anime as the benchmark for art direction, and any of those scenes could probably qualify as the best-looking clip I've seen in the animated visual medium, period.
#3 Shigurui: Death Frenzy
Irako Seigen vs. Iwamoto Kogan fight
Even without knowing how the details of this scene fit into the wider context of this near-masterpiece of a show, this video speaks for itself.
#2 Aku no Hana
This show is SO good at building tension, and this scene was almost as cathartic a release for me as it was the characters. At the end of this episode, I was just stunned. Lovely cinematography as well.
#1 Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex: 2nd Gig
When the Tachikoma... (SPOILER)
The Tachikoma are one of the best examples of character development I've seen in anime, if not the best. By the time this played out, I couldn't believe those silly little spider tank robots managed to make me shed a tear..
So, what are yours, and why? Please tag spoilers as necessary!
