If anyone wants to get really ahead of things, the ebook for September 2026, Dr. No by Ian Fleming, is currently on sale for $2 USD.
Also, I set up price drop notifications for the rest of the ebooks, so I'll pop back into this topic with a new comment whenever they go on sale. If anyone wants to get pinged when that happens, comment below or PM me and I'll add your name to a notification list.
That would be fantastic
Yes plz! And thanks. :)
A Psalm for the Wild-Built has A Discount for the E-Reader. It’s on sale for $3 USD wherever you buy your ebooks.
Canadian friends, additional good news: Amazon.ca DOES have this deal!
Also, for anyone who prefers their ebooks without pesky DRM, you can get a DRM-free copy from Bookshop.
@cfabbro
@Zorind
Thanks again for doing this, and sending me the notification! 👍
Thank you so much!
Exciting! I look forward with hope to joining in. Thanks, as always, for your dedication @boxer_dogs_dance.
Glad to see We are Legion (We are Bob) is on the list, I got it recommended a couple of times
The Poisoner’s Handbook ebook just went on sale for $5 USD. It’s our read for October.
@cfabbro
@Zorind
If you want to be added to the notification list for price drops, let me know here or by PM.
Thanks!
It's showing as $4.99 on Amazon.com, but it won't actually let me buy it from there (even though I usually can order things from the .com site), and on Amazon.ca it's still listed as $20. Ditto on Apple Books, it's showing as $4.99 on their .com site, but in my Apple Books app it's still $20. So I googled around a bit and according to vitalsource (another ebook distributer):
:( Thanks for trying though.
That’s a bummer, sorry.
In case it helps, @Wes mentioned here that you can change your Kindle region to buy US books. Not sure how easy it is or if it’s worth doing overall, but I figured I’d mention it.
No worries, it's the thought that counts. And thanks for the link about switching the Kindle Library location. I may try that in the future... but for now, @DefinitelyNotAFae gratefully saved me the trouble. ;)
Check your PM!
Muchas gracias! :)
Hey now! This is an exciting lineup! Great to see us going a little wild with the genres in the next year.
The ebook for Terry Pratchett’s The Truth, which we’ll be reading in February, is on sale in US stores for $1 USD.
@Zorind
@cfabbro
(Note: I checked amazon.ca for you cfabbro, but it’s unfortunately still full price there)
I've already read it, so no need to worry about me for that one. Thanks for checking though. ;)
While The Metamorphosis has a public domain English translation by David Wyllie, a newer 2014 translation by Sarah Bernofsky is on sale for $3 USD at Amazon.
This sale doesn’t seem to be available at other stores, but, in some good news to all my Canadian friends here, the deal is actually available on Amazon.ca this time!
@Zorind
@cfabbro
Thank you!
Yay, a deal that finally applies to us Canadians too! :P Purchased. Thanks!
Looking forward to The Poisoner's Handbook! I might need to re-buy it, since my copy seems to be gone. I definitely liked it enough to want it on my bookshelf permanently.
Secretly I'm a little glad one of my recommendations (which I haven't read yet) didn't make the cut. Listening to a preview made me want to borrow it right now, and now I can!
Still, lots of interesting titles here to look forward to :)
Now I am curious. There were a lot of great nominations for sure.
Hotline!
Thank you! This time I've posted the whole schedule to my task list so I don't get the months mixed up
